Personal Introduction

Hello!! My name is Dean Choate and I am a Disability Rights Advocate in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. I'm currently a member of Iowa's SYSTEMS CHANGE NETWORK and involved in IOWA'S PARTNERS IN POLICYMAKING class of 1999. I am disabled. I'm married and have 3 wonderful children, 2 which have special needs. My 10 year old has ADHD and my little one has asthma and bad food allergies.
This is why this Web Page has been built. I am in the process of making people aware of the resources and services available to them and their families at the state, federal, and local level.

Invisable Disabilities

Living with a disability is hard enough-but when that disability is invisable to others, it can create an additional set of problems. This Web page is aimed at people who have diseases, disorders and disabilities that aren't visable to most people or aren't always considered disabilities.
